MDM Platform - Web Collaboration Suite is a collaborative projects co-financed by Veneto Region which aims to realize a web based platform prototype that uses uniquely Open Source Softwareswhich sustain new forms of production processes.

The Project will investigate the conditions, services and technologies that the MDM companies, their stakeholder, clients and suppliers will be able to use through the web.

The hinge idea that drives the Consortium is to analyze the tools necessary to create a virtual-economic community, which could develope business opportunities.

The technological choices are mainly based on the articulated world of Open Source Softwares and on W3C web standards. What motivates these choices is the necessity to intervene in the source code of the software, in the integration of more applications and in the will to test an accessible and free solution.

This option also allows to maximize the positive fall on of the companies directly involved in the project.

Shared collaborative Platform for MDM: realization of an interactive platform, consisting in a Netwotk linking knowledge, science and the best technologies in Veneto.

The application will support many different collaboration tools, among which CMS & CRM in OS on line; Reality+3D on line on demand; video and tele conference; Virtual distance learning; etc.
